In Case of Emergency, call 911
VEHICLE SAFETY
Do not leave valuables in your car. Take items out of your car at night. Also, please remember to lock your car.
If you hear a car alarm going off, look out your window and see why. If you see someone suspicious around please dial 911.
The city of Everett police department (across from Everett Mall) sells “the club” for a steering wheel for $10.00.
GARAGE REMOTE
Do you leave your garage door remote in your car? If your car is broken into, the thief now has access to your garage and possibly the inside of your home as well. Consider brining the remote in at night or perhaps not leaving it in your car.
LOCK YOUR DOORS
Remember to always lock your house door when you leave, even if it is to just get the mail, dump your trash or get something from your car. Leaving your door open and/or unlocked screams “come on in” to people who you wouldn’t normally welcome.
PORCH LIGHTS
Please turn your porch lights ON every night. Thieves don’t like well-lighted areas so having Garden Grove well lit at night will help keep intruders away. This is especially helpful at the entrance of Garden Grove as that area is rather dark. LED light bulbs are suggested and they are inexpensive to use. LED light bulbs also come with censors in them so you can have your light switch in the ON position 24/7. The censor will turn lights OFF in daylight and turn ON at dusk. These can be purchased at your local Hardware Store.

HOLIDAY TIPS
During the holiday season please remember to keep your cars clean of all gifts, bags, receipts, and anything else that someone might find interesting. You might keep your blinds closed during the day if you are not home so window lookers will not see that you have a tree up; when people see trees they know there are gifts under that tree. Consider using a timer on a lamp in your living room, or in a front bedroom window.
